Giving due credit

I have often lamented endlessly about the lack of quality and service and of the mediocre standards of our national carrier, Air India, but in all fairness I was quite touched when I read this article.

A Punjabi labourer, Joginder Pal died in Cyprus and his family lacked the funds to transport his body back home for performing the last rites. The Indian Embassy sent out an email to local Indians to donate money for the transportation costs. On receiving this news, Air India stepped in and offered to transport the body from Doha or Bahrain, where they fly from, to Delhi or Chandigarh, for free of cost.

One must applaud Air India for playing the good Samaritan.
