Bureaucratic Blues
Ah ! This is exactly what we needed. Another fantastically efficient and erudite panel to sweep all our housing worries away. It was just a few months ago, that my parents and I were looking to buy a house in Kharghar, Navi Mumbai. The prices had shot up dramatically in just a year, from about Rs. 3000/sq foot to about Rs 4000/sq foot. Buildings, for which construction had not even started, were completely sold out. Eventually we were forced to look in Kolkata where the prices were still cheaper for luxury high rises than they were in Mumbai.
But now, the problem of sky-high prices and housing shortage will disappear overnight with the creation of a Housing Regulator. I have a great feeling about this!
