dude.. Dont u think that one moment of madness costs a person 7 damn years.. Im in no way condoning his act but somewhere down the line this guy got a raw deal..
Absolutely not. Rape is a heinous crime. Apart from the physical assault, it scars a woman for life, makes her insecure and wrecks her self-confidence. Very few women are strong enough to recover completely from such an assault. Anyone who subjects anyone else to such emotional trauma deserves to be kept away from society. 7 years is in no way a raw deal for someone who committed rape. I have absolutely no sympathy for Mohanty and unlike my previous post, in this case the punishment is definitely commensurate to the crime committed.
