Bugspray in my chai ??

Arjun Swarup provides an excellent article and links to a very lucid comparison/study by Kishore Asthana of the cola drinks with other more banal Indian food articles.

These numbers not only took me by surprise, but completely blew me away! Even if we ignore the inaccuracies of the CSE report -

1 egg has the same pesticide content as 163 bottles of cola
2 apples have the same pesticide content as 1274 bottles of cola

Now, if those numbers don't make the protesters simmer down and start scratching their heads, I don't know what will!
